Cépages

Gamay noir à jus blanc en majorité et quelques pieds de Chardonnay qui apportent de la finesse (1-2%)

Terroir

La parcelle des Griottes se situe à mi-coteau sur le versant sud de la colline, sur le lieu-dit "Brulhié",  déjà réputé au 17ème siècle puisque Louvet dans son histoire du Beaujolais écrit en 1635 :
« Sur la colline de Brulhié (Brouilly), paroisse d’Oudenas (Odenas) […] laquelle côte ou colline porte les meilleurs vins du pays ».

Sol à faible profondeur sur « pierres bleues », roche volcanique magmatique, aussi appelée Metadiorite.

Culture

Les vignes sont à une densité de 7000 pieds/ha avec un aménagement en bandes enherbées et fleuries pour la diversification de la flore et pour le passage de nos petits tracteurs légers, nous alternons labour et enherbement naturelle maîtrisé. Vendanges manuelles.

Vinification

La vendange est issu d’une récolte entièrement manuelle et vinifié en partie en grappes entières dans nos caves à flanc de coteau, ce qui permet d’utiliser au maximum la gravité par le jeu des étages successifs afin de n’utiliser ni pompe ni convoyeur pour la vendange. Après le pressurage le vin suit un  élevage en foudre de chêne pendant 7 à 9 mois.

Dégustation

Nez fruité frais, de cerises, fraises des bois et pivoine, bouche juteuse et minérale, avec une finale fraîche de fruits noirs et une pointe d’épices.
